The work of Gerhard Richter is a source of awe and inspiration. I pay homage to Richter's "squeegee paintings" using my own approach (without the squeegee). These digital compositions were created by smearing and scraping acrylic paint on canvas. After photographing the canvases, the images were layered and blended in Photoshop to create the final work.
These can be considered early experimentations with the method of photographing and layering paintings in digital manipulation programs that I employ widely in my practice.
